Application for registration and admission are accepted in the month of November / December every year.
2. Admission is granted strictly on merit basis and on availability of seats.
3. Admission is purely on academic performance, irrespective of caste, creed and community. Any effort to influence the school in this regard in any form can disqualify the candidate.
4. After procuring the admission form, the duly filled in application form is to be submitted at the school office during the working hours.
5. Students who seek admission in pre-primary, primary class are assessed for eligibility on the spot.
6. Students seeking admission to class IV onward are to appear for a written test conducted by the school on the basis of English, Mathematics, Social Science, and Science on the exit level of the previous class followed by personal interaction with the Principal.
Documents required at the time of admission
1. Proof of Age (Birth Certificate).
2. Transfer Certificate issued by the previous school in origin.
3. Report Card of the last class attended.
4. Blood Group Report.
5. Proof of address for parents.
6. Duly filled in parents undertaking form.
7. Two number of coloured photo of parents and guardians mentioning relationship.
• The fee structure is subject to change when necessary.
A nominal fee will be collected from students on occasions of Outreach Programme, School Week and Annual Day or any other Student Welfare Programme as and when necessary.
Payment of Fees
Valley View School follows quarterly mode of payment of monthly tuition fees in advance. Fees are collected during the first month of the quarter; otherwise, a late fine is charged @ Rs10 per day. Monthly Tuition Fees has to be paid in 4(four) Quarters.
Class Nursery to K.G @ Rs. 1950/- per Quarter.
Class I to VIII @ Rs. 2400/- per Quarter.
First Quarter fees has to be paid along with Admission Fees. The payment of a quarter if not made before the Formative /Summative assessment, the child will be debarred from appearing the assessments.
The academic session is from April to March. Complete school education is imparted at four stages, i.e. pre-primary, primary, middle and secondary. The syllabus in designed in accordance with the NCERT and the CBSE, Delhi. The CCE method of evaluation provides a holistic profile of the learners through regular assessment of Scholastic and Co-Scholastic domains of development. Scholastic refers to those aspects, which are related to intellect or the brain. It includes assessment of the learners curricular subjects, assignment, project work, practical, oral work etc. and co-scholastic refers to those aspects, which are related to the heart and the hand. These include the physical development, life skills, attitudes, values, interest and participation in co-curricular activities.
As per rules of the third language formula announced by the Govt. Of India, the following procedure is followed.
i. The first language to be studied in all classes will be English;
ii. Second language and third language will be either Assamese or Hindi and vice-versa.
iii. Sanskrit is compulsory from Class VI to VIII.
Evaluation is process and also a method used to authenticate the extent by which the desired objective is achieved. In schools it determines whether the learners are ready to undertake a higher level of study or not. Simply stated, evaluation helps deciding promotion to the next class or completion of the level of education.
School education is a dynamic process, so also its curriculum, teaching methods, objectives and so on. Correspondingly, evaluation process and methods also keep changing.
Keeping in the line of current trend of evaluation needs, the CBSE has adopted continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) process from Class- I to Class- X. It emphasises on two fold objectives: continuity in evaluation and assessment of broad based learning and behavioural outcomes, which is not emphasised in earlier test-type evaluation. CCE considers facets of education-cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills, and emphasises on the holistic development of children’s personality. It helps develop thinking process and build up confidence in children.
Moreover, it helps teachers to improve upon teaching-learning strategies and as a quality control device to raise academic outcomes.
Valley View School has adopted CCE system of evaluation and as such evaluates children through Formative and Summative the Valley Assessment (FAs & SAs). FAs enable teachers to track each student’s progress in academic subjects as well as co-scholastics areas such as life skills, attitudes and values and extracurricular activities.
So evaluation is not restricted to paper and pencil tests; it is rather comprehensive enough to include other means of testing such as quizzes, puzzles, project work, research work, homework, class work, field studies practical’s assignments, etc. SAs assess students’ performance through written test.
CBSE does not prescribe CCE for Nursery and KG children. VVS also does not follow the system.
However, it has introduced mid-term and end-term assignments. These assignments do not mean to evaluate children’s academic achievements for promotions. It is rather an important tool for the teachers to understand young children’s development in order to provide needful support and the effectiveness of teaching-learning methods adopted for these children. Parents also understand the developmental needs of their wards.

It is therefore, in fitness of things that the parents shall be friend, philosopher and guide to the children to set the dream and to bring them to the school to begin the journey. School Parent Interaction
The school organises Parent-Teacher and Principal interaction session twice in a year. The parents and guardian may interact with the Principal an appointment from the back office. Besides, it has also facilitated to interact about the program of the students on the day of collection of Report Card (Dates fixed on Academic Calendar).
